Rick Keller is an extremely talented composer, instrumentalist & recording artist living in Los Angeles, who has become one of the most sought after studio musicians on the West Coast. As a master of all the woodwinds, his exceptional skills are in demand, yet he continues to explore & develop his musical voice with a disciplined commitment towards pursuing his own projects. His inspiration stems from a profound appreciation for musical sounds created in distant lands. His insatiable desire to remain receptive to these new sounds & ideas flourished as a result of recordings & performances with: Christopher Cross , Frankie Valli, Chaka Kahn, Bill Bruford, Bill Holman, Strunz and Farah, Billy Cobham, Joe Sample, Zakir Hussain, Charlie Mariano, Bill Bruford, Natalie Cole, Steve Ferrone and Jon Lord. Noteable concert venues include Ronnie Scott’s in London, Blue Note in Tokyo, Expo 98 in Lisbon as well appearances at the North Sea, Bratislava, Burghausen, Leverkusen & Breslau Jazz Festivals. With all the playing experience and exposure to music and how artists create Rick’s cinematic and dramatic sensibilities for composing have inspired him create a diverse and eclectic composing/licensing catalog featured at is an ASCAP composer and publisher “Saxsonic Music”. Rick administers, controls all the masters which he composed and produced all material offered at moodbeat.
